The Cameron Highlands (Malay: Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Chinese: 金馬崙高原, Tamil: கேமரன் மலை) is a district in Pahang, Malaysia, occupying an area of 712.18 square kilometres (274.97 sq mi). To the north, its boundary touches that of Kelantan; to the west, it shares part of its border with Perak. Situated at the northwestern tip of Pahang, the "Camerons" is approximately 90 kilometres (56 mi) from Ipoh, roughly 200 kilometres (120 mi) from Kuala Lumpur or about 355 kilometres (221 mi) from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang. It is the smallest municipality in the state.Developed in the 1930s, the tableland is one of the oldest tourist spots in Malaysia. Apart from its tea estates,[8] the plateau is noted for its cool weather, orchards, nurseries, farmlands, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wildlife, mossy forest, golf course, hotels, places of worship, bungalows, Land Rovers, museum and native inhabitants (Orang Asli).

The climate of the Cameron Highlands is on the border between a tropical rainforest climate (Köppen climate classification Af) and a subtropical highland climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). Its mean annual temperature is 18 °C (64 °F). During the day, the temperature seldom rises over 25 °C (77 °F); at night, it can drop to as low as 9 °C (48 °F) at the higher reaches. Its yearly precipitation is more than 2,700 mm (110 in). The lowest temperature recorded was on Wednesday, 1 February 1978 – the temperature dropped to 7.8 °C (46.0 °F) at an altitude of 1,471.6 metres above sea level.
Boh Tea is the largest producer of tea in Malaysia, with estates in Cameron Highlands and Bukit Cheeding (Selangor). The largests plantation sits at Habu in Ringlet next to its immediate neighbour Fairlie Garden, while Sungai Palas lies about 20km away in Brinchang. At Ringlet, visitors may access Boh via an exit along the main road at right towards Tanah Rata. One of Cameron's favourite tourist attractions, the plantation features a colonial-era processing factory open to public, heritage tea center with shopping gallery and a delightful cafe that serves refreshments. A small hill next door provides a panoramic view point of the valley draped by lush tea fields, if you're willing to brave a steep climb.

If you travel from KL then use red bus app to book your bus from KL central to tanah rata bus station, cameron highland which will cost approximately RM 40. After 3pm you will not find any retun bus as it become evening and the road is not too friendly for bus driving on that time so it is better that you plan to stay 1 day there if you are lucky then you will find some cheap hotel there which might cost RM60 for one night. After reaching cameron highland you can get some package tour offer from bus station which is included all tourists places in cameron highland and it will cost within RM50-100 but you will get very few time to visit each places as your driver will be your tour guide and it will take almost 2-3 hours to visit all the places. If you plan to stay for a longer time in Cameron then you better hire a personal driver which might cost more.
The temperatures in the highlands are always pleasant and mild, with an average between 21-25 degrees. The best time to see the tea plantations at their finest is during the monsoon season from November to February, however, rain is normal throughout the year.
The best time to visit the Cameron Highlands is from February to April.
Big Red Strawberry Farm is a agrotourism park growing hydroponic strawberries and organic vegetables. Perched on a steep hill slope overlooking Brinchang, the center is accessible by road from Star Regency Hotel, marked by large signboards from town. Once at the foothill, the entrance is located right next to Cactus Valley. Starting from the main entrance, visitors will climb up some steps to a koi fountain, flower nursery and mini petting zoo filled mostly with rabbits. The walkway then leads through the strawberry farm where self-picking for purchase is allowed. Finally, the walk ends at a cafe and shop where fresh strawberries and other local products may be purchased.

Butterfly Farm is a tourist attraction at Kea Farm in Brinchang - a live display of butterflies, insects and animals just likeButterfly Garden next door. The complex also houses a cafe, souvenir shop and Chinese steamboat restaurant with a small parking lot to accommodate visitors. Inside the farm, visitors may also explore a flower garden and feed domesticated animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and ducks.The Butterfly Farm itself is not really that big, it does not have a huge collection of living butterflies, mainly observed the Rajah Brookes (Trogonoptera brookiana albescens), the Malaysian National "Bird" and some smaller species. The interesting things of the farm are a quite good collection of beetles that are on display; they had on display, Cheirotonus arnaudi, Odontolabis femoralis femoralis, and some other interesting species. It is an interesting trip to visit the butterfly farm and the butterfly garden, both are on the same road. It is not too far away from Tanah Rata, about 20 km, and easy accessible via bus or taxi. Entrance fee is very cheap, about one Euro. If you come to the Camerons, check the farm out, it is easier to see Trogonoptera there than anywhere else in the wild.

Located in the Tringkap Cameron Highlands, the Rose Valley houses an amazing 450 varieties of roses in all shapes and sizes ranging from the "Black" rose, "hornless" rose plant with 20 fragrant varieties, the colourful "miniature" roses and many more. Cameron Lavender, located in Tringkap is the newest addition to Cameron Highlands.Cameron Lavender Garden is a lavender-themed shopping and agricultural complex situated between Tringkap and Kuala Terla, about 4km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang along the main road. A popular tourist attraction, the garden features a beautiful lavender field with an assorment of other continental flowers on display, fringed with colourful statues and objects inspired by European countryside scenery. Perched above the complex is a cartoonish Disney castle with koi pond, viewing deck, mini windmills and cafe while inside the compound lies another mock fortress with a wishing tree and confectionery boutique. Visitors may also explore a large flower nursery, strawberry farm, shopping arcade and mini market (towards the exit). Get mesmerized with the colourful sea of blooming flowers. Enjoy a cuppa hot tea overlooking the stunning view of greeneries.

Apart from tea gardens or strawberry farms, the Cameron Highlands have several honeybee farms. These honey bee farms were established to produce honey. They grow various flowers as the honey bees’ food source. The honey bees will extract nectars which are then converted into honey. These honey bee farms also sell their honey and some other honey-related products. The honey bee farms also teach a lot of facts regarding honey bees and honey. A visit to a honey bee farm can be very productive and fruitful. The honey bee farms in Cameron Highlands are quite well maintained which makes visiting them worthwhile. The more established and better honey bee farms among them is the Ee Feng Gu Honey Bee Farm which will be a great destination to visit.

Kea Farm is an agricultural district in Cameron Highlands, located 3km north of Brinchang town or 3km before Tringkap. Its central feature is a farmers' market along the main road at its summit, adjaent to Copthorne Hotel. Open daily, traders set up retail stalls from morning till evening - a great place to seize bargains on fresh crops including strawberries, corn, greens and fruits. Other local products available at the market include fashion apparel, souvenirs, ornamental plants, packaged food and flowers. Beyond the market, the surroundings give way to farms and residential homes draped across the valley. Some tourist attractions within the vicinity include Rose Center, Ee Feng Gu, Butterfly Garden and Boh Tea (Sungai Palas).
Lata Iskandar is a waterfall along the trunk road from Tapah to Cameron Highlands, located about 25km before Ringlet. The waterfall cascades over several tiers of granite slopes, with the last drop at 25 meters high flowing into a small pool below, before resuming its journey as a narrow stream. On weekends, the waterfall is overun by tourists and local visitors. Lata Iskandar Waterfalls is one of the popular tourist attractions for all. It is a must-visit tourist destination that provides panoramic views to the tourists. Stretched approximately in the midway between Cameron Highlands and Tapah, this multi-tiered waterfall boasts of pools at the base of each tier. Many a visitor takes the opportunity to go for a short dip in the cool water of these pools, which have their origins up in the higher reaches of the surrounding highlands. Nature lovers can go slightly off the beaten track and get to enjoy the rich flora and fauna. Near the base of the falls, visitors will find a handicraft bazaar where an assortment of craft is available for one's selection. Look out especially for the craft of Orang Asli, the so-called "original people" of the country. A row of stalls serving drinks and snacks have been set up nearby for the convenience of people who stop to enjoy the pleasures of Lata Iskandar. Ramshackle shops and stalls, nestled along the main road facing Lata Iskandar, provide shopping opportunities for ethnic souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, strange herbs, tropical fruits and even aphrodisiacs
